Piaseczno - Zalesie Dolne

Our second location is in one of the wealthiest Warsaw's suburbs Piaseczno. It is a county capital with population of ca. 50 thousand and 180 thousand people inhabiting the entire county. Town is located 17km (10mi) South of the Warsaw City Centre and is part of the metropolitan area. Main landmarks are st. Ann's brick church built in XVI century and narrow gauge railway from 1890s. The exact location of our apartments is in part of that town called Zalesie Dolne, low density residential area established in 1920s as part of the garden-city movement, incorporated into Piaseczno in 1952. It is a unique combination of civilisation and nature, perfect for those enjoying walking.

All of our apartments in Piaseczno are located in one building located 350m away from the bus stop, ZALESIE DOLNE 02. It is possible to travel from this bus stop to subway station WILANOWSKA directly by the line 727. There are also several other lines passing through this bus stop that can be used to commute to PKP Piaseczno railway station and other parts of the town. Railway station is located just 2km (1,3mi) or two bus stops away. There are suburban trains going from that station to Warsaw's city centre couple of times per hour. Entire travel including walking and waiting time to the city's very centre takes between 50-70 minutes. Travel time to PKP Służew train station located in Warsaw's biggest office district takes only 35 minutes. Our apartments are located in 2nd public transport zone.

There are numerous roads that connect Piaseczno with Warsaw, the simplest is Puławska street straight road going directly to the city centre. Travel to the city is also possible through Konstancin town by Przyczółkowa street or through S7 highway. Choice of the road depends on the exact final destination. Once on the border of Warsaw it is easy to get to any part of the city using the beltroad.

Piaseczno's Narrow Gauge Railway

It is one of the few narrow gauge railways remaining in Poland and the only one currently utilised in Warsaw Metropolitan Area. Total conserved length of the track is 30km but only 15 km from Piaseczno to Tarczyn is being utilised. It is the only narrow gauge railway licensed for passenger travel. Width of the track is 1000mm. Trains are pulled by steam and diesel engines. Tickets are available on www.kolejka-piaseczno.pl. There is also an option to rent the entire train or organise the event.

Simon Hill Landscape Park

Simon Hill Landscape Park

It is a scenic place located on the outskirts of Zalesie Dolne only 1km away from our location. Aforementioned hills are in fact 20m high sand dunes overgrown with pine forest with a small lake at their feet and Jeziorka river passing by. Park is well maintained and managed. Visitors can enjoy children's playground and picnic area with tables. There is a firm that organises kayaking on Jeziorka river. It is almost adjacent to a much bigger Chojnów Landscape Park.
